For more than a decade, in association with the Convention, the STMs have held the "Hartness House Workshop" (HHW). This daylong event is attended by, fifty to eighty amateur astronomers and a few professionals. The workshop is held at the historic Hartness House Inn.
The theme of the event this year will be: "Eclectic Astronomy"
The slate for the day will be a heterogeneous collection of high-quality presentations, on a variety of astronomical subjects, with the usual opportunity to mingle with the speakers and other attendees.
Daytime Session
Registration for this session covers, breakfast beginning at 8am, lunch at 12:20pm and the cocktail hour at 6pm. There will be a series of 9 presentations throughout the day starting at 9am with 3.
Evening Session
Registration for this session covers the cocktail hour begining at 6pm, followed by dinner at 7pm, and the key-note presentation at 8pm The day is scheduled to end at approximately 9pm.
Attendees at both the daytime and evening sessions are welcome to visit the Stellafane site for observing if the weather permits.
Attendance at the HHW requires separate registration and additional cost from the main Convention.
Attendance at the HHW requires registration; walk-in attendance is not available.
